Job summary

Sunset Hills Family Dentistry, part of the Heartland Dental network, is seeking a Part-time Dental Assistant to join our team. You will greet patients, review health histories, and provide efficient chairside support using Dentrix and modern diagnostic tools.

The role emphasizes safe patient care, strict adherence to OSHA & CDC guidelines, and collaboration with clinicians to maintain high standards of service in a community-focused practice.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments.
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures with four-handed dentistry.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage inventory and place orders; support Heartland Dental systems.
