Sunset Hills Family Dentistry is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our team in Edwardsville, IL. You will greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide four-handed chairside support to dentists. Proficiency with Dentrix for scheduling is required, and you’ll follow OSHA/CDC safety protocols.

Hours include Wednesday and Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, and Thursday 7:00am-3:00pm. Certification in dental assisting and x-ray may be required by state act; PHI protection and HIPAA

Qualifications

• Dental procedures and terminology knowledge.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Greet and welcome patients and support comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostics (iTero 3D, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists per state rules.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Maintain safe treatment rooms following OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and place orders; support Heartland Dental systems.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow.
