Job summary

SpartanNash is looking for a part-time Bakery/Deli Associate at Family Fare in Grand Rapids, MI. You will prepare, package, label, and merchandise bakery and deli items while ensuring food safety and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires basic math, reading/writing ability, and a customer-focused attitude. Prior retail experience is preferred; High School Diploma (GED) is desirable. This position may involve lifting up to 30 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce Bakery/Deli products according to production planner.
• Package and label Bakery/Deli products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery/Deli products per Flight plan/Merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with Bakery/Deli products; rotate and date cases/buckets.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures to other associates.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety and guest experience guidelines.
• Assist other departments as needed.
