Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. in Cottondale, AL is hiring a part-time Customer Service Representative to be the friendly face of our service team. You will assist customers, manage rentals with U-Scan tech, move and hook up trucks, inspect equipment, and educate customers on products and services.

Training is provided, including propane fill and forklift certification opportunities. Benefits include health insurance, paid holidays, 401(k) plan, ESOP, and employee support programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Strong communication and customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, checking fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rentals.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Propane fill available (certification offered on employment).
• Forklift operation (certification offered on employment).
• Other duties as assigned.
• Participate in continuing education through U-Haul University.
