Job summary

U-Haul, Mobile, Alabama, is seeking a friendly Customer Service Representative to assist customers in-store and on-site. You will use U-Scan tech to manage rentals, inspect equipment, and answer questions about products and services while ensuring a positive experience for every guest.

The role offers on-the-job training, a supportive team, and opportunities to learn core U-Haul processes. Part-time hours, potential for future advancement, and benefits where eligible.

Qualifications

• Prior customer-facing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Other duties as assigned; participate in ongoing U-Haul education.
