Job summary

Farmers & Merchants Savings Bank is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support branches in Nichols, Riverside and Lone Tree. You will greet customers, handle deposits and withdrawals, open new accounts, and assist with loan payments in a friendly, accurate manner.

Please bring a high school diploma, solid communication skills, and basic MS Office knowledge. Part-time role requiring about 20 hours weekly, Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service, retail, or banking experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and basic MS Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, friendly service.
• Accept checks and cash for deposits, verify amounts, and enter deposits.
• Cash checks and process withdrawals.
• Open new accounts, CDs, safe deposit boxes and gift cards.
• Process loan payments and balance cash drawer with 95%+ accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with bank policies.
• Stay informed on bank products and detect fraudulent activity.
• Assist with night depository and vault duties.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide prompt, friendly service
• Accepts checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters deposits into system
• Cashes checks and processes withdrawals
• Opens new accounts, certificates of deposit, safe deposit boxes and gift cards for both consumers and businesses
• Processes loan payments
• Balance a cash drawer at a rate of 95% or higher
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and compliance with all bank policies and regulations
• Remain educated on the complete bank line of products and services
• Identifies fraudulent activity
• Assists with night depository and vault duties

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous customer service, retail, or banking experience is a plus
• Strong communication skillsBasic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work 20 hours a week
• Available to work any shifts Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturday mornings
• Always maintain professional appearance and behavior
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work with all types of customers
• Must be a team player and willing to jump in to assist with any special projects, etc.
