Farmers & Merchants Savings Bank in Iowa seeks an energetic Customer Service Representative to join our team at the Riverside and Lone Tree branches. You will greet customers, process deposits, cash checks, and open new accounts while delivering prompt, courteous service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, friendly service.
• Accept checks and cash, verify amounts, endorse properly, and enter deposits.
• Cash checks and process withdrawals.
• Open new accounts, CDs, safe deposit boxes and gift cards for individuals and businesses.
• Process loan payments.
• Balance a cash drawer at 95% accuracy or higher.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with bank policies and regulations.
• Stay informed about the full range of bank products and services.
• Identify fraudulent activity.
• Assist with night depository and vault duties.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide prompt, friendly service
• Accepts checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters deposits into system
• Cashes checks and processes withdrawals
• Opens new accounts, certificates of deposit, safe deposit boxes and gift cards for both consumers and businesses
• Processes loan payments
• Balance a cash drawer at a rate of 95% or higher
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and compliance with all bank policies and regulations
• Remain educated on the complete bank line of products and services
• Identifies fraudulent activity
• Assists with night depository and vault duties

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous customer service, retail, or banking experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work 20 hours a week, this role has full-time potential in the future
• Available to work any shifts Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturday mornings
• Always maintain professional appearance and behavior
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work with all types of customers
• Must be a team player and willing to jump in to assist with any special projects, etc.
