Job summary

Eastman Chemical Company in Martinsville, VA is seeking a Provisional Customer Service Representative. The CSR coordinates sales, service and distribution support, interfacing with customers and cross-functional teams to manage orders, forecasts and inquiries.

Part-time, up to 1,200 hours per year, duration not to exceed 12 months. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, strong communication, Excel/Word (SAP preferred), and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (business, supply chain, international business, sales, marketing, etc.).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Word; SAP experience is preferred.
• Strong prioritization, planning and analytical skills are required.
• Must be self-motivated, highly organized and able to multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer purchase orders from entry to invoicing and forecasting.
• Analyze inventory and customer demand; support Sales with customer needs.
• Maintain accurate customer records and report information.
• Build relationships with customers and internal partners; foster teamwork.
• Backup colleagues as needed and occasionally travel to support sales efforts.
