Job summary

Maryland Department of Transportation is seeking a Part-Time Customer Agent Supervisor at the MVA. You will supervise Customer Agents and Driver License Agents, assign and review work, provide training, and approve leave while serving as acting supervisor.

You will also perform customer service duties and may operate as a driver's license agent in certain situations; this role requires strong leadership and operational oversight in Garrett County.

Qualifications

• Five years of customer service work experience.
• Three years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Education substitutions allowed: 1 year experience per year of education or 30 credits per year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Customer Agents and Driver License Agents at Branch Offices.
• Oversee closeouts, deposits, and daily paperwork; train staff.
• Ensure cash security and inventory; develop close-out procedures training.
• Conduct staff meetings and training.
• Review documents for fraud; assist with license/ID issuance in non-routine cases.
• Prepare monthly fraud reports; testify at hearings when needed.
• Conduct audits and verify employer testing programs.
• Mentor coworkers; onboard new employees.
• May perform driver license exams if needed.
