Job summary

Maryland Department of Transportation's Motor Vehicle Administration seeks an MVA Assistant Branch Manager II, Field Operations, to lead branch operations, audits, and premier customer service across Talbot County and surrounding areas.

As a member of the MDOT leadership team, you will plan and direct staff, act as a change agent, and develop workflow efficiencies while working in a union environment and ensuring compliance and excellent public service.

Qualifications

• Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of leadership experience in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.
• Two years of experience in state or federal government.
• Experience supervising operations of a unit in a governmental/regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Branch Manager in planning, directing, organizing, and overseeing branch operations, audits, compliance, and premier customer service.
• Collaborate with staff to resolve customer issues and improve service delivery.
• Plan, assign, schedule, and evaluate work of supervisors, agents, maintenance, and support staff.
• Act as a change agent within the MVA to improve processes and implement policy.
• Develop workflow efficiencies and work effectively in a union environment.
