Job summary

Columbus Metropolitan Library in Dublin is seeking a Customer Services Specialist to guide customers, resolve questions, and connect patrons with staff and resources. The role emphasizes positive service, problem solving, and friendly assistance across in-person, phone, email, and chat channels.

Two 4-hour closing shifts Mon-Thu, alternating Fri/Sat 9:00am-6:00pm, and Sundays 1:00-5:00pm, with final schedule set during interview. This is a part-time, non-exempt position starting pay range shown.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to express self effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of Internet and database services.
• Ability to operate library technology including PC, email, MS Office and related systems.
• Ability to utilize reliable transportation to report to assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with library services and information needs.
• Process accounts, payments, and enforce account rules.
• Handle cash and deposits, balance cash drawers.
• Open/close procedures and maintain location supplies.
• Provide training on library technology to customers and staff.
