Job summary

Smith's Food & Drug Centers is seeking a customer-focused associate to greet shoppers, answer questions, and assist with EAS deactivations. You will monitor entry/exit areas, direct customers to registers, and uphold company values of respect, integrity and safety.

The role supports a fast-paced retail environment, with duties including assisting with bascarts, reporting safety concerns, and following corporate policies. Part-time opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict time frames.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to draw conclusions.
• Desirable: ability to speak a second language.

Responsibilities

• Model customer 1st behavior and deliver excellent service.
• Acknowledge customers as they enter and exit the store.
• Respond to activations of EAS systems and assist with deactivation.
• Answer questions about item locations and direct to registers as needed.
• Report suspicious behavior to the district AP manager.
• Assist with bascarts and report safety concerns to supervision.
• Maintain flexibility to work any shift and follow policies.
