Job summary

Smith’s Food & Drug Centers in Las Vegas seeks a part-time customer service associate to greet customers, answer questions and assist with EAS deactivations. You will help maintain store security, guide customers to registers, and support loss prevention with store procedures.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, accuracy, and a friendly, helpful demeanor in a fast-paced retail environment. Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strict time frames.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible with shifts and workloads.

Responsibilities

• Model customer 1st behavior and deliver excellent service.
• Acknowledge customers as they enter and exit the store.
• Maneuver in entry/exit areas and direct customers to registers when needed.
• Request receipts for non-bagged items and assist with EAS deactivations.
• Respond to activations of Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems and assist with deactivations.
• Answer questions about item locations within the store.
• Report suspicious behavior to district Asset Protection managers.
• Assist customers with bascarts and report safety concerns to supervisors.
• Comply with corporate policies and company initiatives; maintain flexibility to work any shift.
