Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Kentucky LP is seeking a Customer Service Associate at our Glencoe, KY location to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, and help unload shipments, maintaining a clean, safe store.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior retail or customer-service experience. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are a must to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
