Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston is seeking a School-Based Workforce Readiness & Youth Development Specialist to plan, implement, and evaluate programs in Richmond, TX. You will deliver Essential Skills and Durable Skills curricula, facilitate career readiness activities, and help teens explore post-secondary opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Youth Development, Human Services, Workforce Development, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience working with youth, teens, and families required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License preferred and may be required at certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate workforce readiness, career exploration, and youth development programming within assigned CTE classrooms and BGCGH locations.
• Deliver curriculum and integrate workforce readiness programming in classrooms and partner schools.
• Facilitate lessons, workshops, and career exploration activities; promote student engagement.
• Build relationships with students, families, school personnel, and community partners to support youth development and career readiness.
