Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston is seeking a Lead Youth Development Specialist to oversee and plan diverse club programs, including Education, Technology, Arts & Crafts and Physical Education. You will develop schedules, recruit participants, and supervise staff to ensure safe, high-quality youth development experiences.

Requirements include a four‑year degree in a related field, at least five years of relevant club experience, and a valid Texas driver's license.

Qualifications

Four year degree in related field is preferred.
Minimum five years' work experience in a Boys or Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities.
Ability to interpret Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, Inc. programs and philosophy.
Strong communication skills and group leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Plan and oversee administration of designated Club programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes.
Establish program objectives aligned with organizational goals and mission.
Develop weekly/monthly program schedules and coordinate program recruitment activities.
Ensure safety, conduct and development of members during activities.
Supervise program staff and volunteers and provide ongoing feedback/evaluations.
Coordinate outreach to engage families and community partners.
Maintain records and reporting on participation and program outcomes.
Oversee special programs/events and assist with budget monitoring.
