Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking a CT Technologist I for part-time duties. You will operate CT scanners, verify orders with radiologists, and prepare patients while documenting findings. Responsibilities include EMR review, patient history gathering, radiation safety, and collaboration with the Radiology team to deliver quality imaging across shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Education from an ARRT-recognized radiologic or nuclear medicine program.
• ARRT Radiology or NMTCB certification and ARRT CT registry within 12 months of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders with the Radiologist before exams.
• Identifies patients and explains procedures clearly using two identifiers.
• Prepares patients and documents on appropriate worksheets.
• Reviews EMR for pertinent clinical history and correlates data.
• Operates CT scanner and related equipment with proficiency.
• Maintains radiation safety and reports equipment malfunctions.
• Rotates shifts including call back, holidays and weekends.
