Job summary

Atrium Health Mercy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment following department protocols. You will verify orders, prepare patients, manage IV contrast, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure high-quality exams.

The role requires ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB and ARRT CT registry within one year of hire, plus BLS. Wear comfortable shift patterns and participate in safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within one year of hire.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders; refers to Radiologist for discrepancies.
• Identifies patient using two identifiers and provides explanations of procedures.
• Interviews patients for medical history and records pertinent clinical data.
• Assists in CT scanning and invasive procedures with Radiologist/PA.
• Administers IV contrast per department protocols and documents usage.
• Maintains radiology safety, proper sterile technique, and infection control.

Education

Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program

ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB; ARRT CT registry within 1 year of hire
