Job summary

Advocate Health’s Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center location in Charlotte, NC is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform scans and related procedures in accordance with department standards. The role requires ARRT/ NMTCB certification, BLS, and a focus on patient safety and quality imaging.

You will work in a fast-paced radiology department, handle contrast administration, document findings, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate results.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry in CT within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and applies age-appropriate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT scanners and related equipment following departmental protocols.
• Verifies orders with Radiologist and clarifies discrepancies before exams.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers and explains procedures clearly.
• Prepares patients for procedures and documents information accurately.
• Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures.
• Maintains radiation safety and sterile technique and reports equipment issues promptly.
