Job summary
UAB Medicine, Alabama’s largest health system, seeks a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical and cardio-thoracic procedures. The role includes participation in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
The position offers part-time shifts, comprehensive benefits, and eligibility for education assistance and PSLF. Applicants must be graduates of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and hold active Alabama CRNA licensure.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
- Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
- Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures.
- Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
