State of South Carolina's Office of Mental Health in Charleston, SC seeks a Part-Time Counselor II for 20 hours per week to help individuals and families navigate challenges and achieve long-term wellness.

You will provide culturally competent responses to Mobile Crisis Call Center callers, support the emergency services continuum, and document in accordance with QA standards, while collaborating with the Center and the broader community.

Qualifikationen

• A bachelor's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences and professional experience in human services or social services programs.
• Post hire: knowledge of mental health principles and practices.
• Good listening and writing skills with multitasking ability.
• Familiarity with community health and welfare services and ability to screen, assess and consult callers.

Aufgaben

• Provide a quality response in a culturally competent manner to callers of the Mobile Crisis Call Center.
• Improve communication, collaboration, and procedures in emergency services continuum of care.
• Be accountable for documentation expectations.
• Demonstrate collaboration and teamwork within the Center and the community.
• Operate in an efficient and organized manner.
• Retain responsibility for meeting Quality Assurance standards.
• Comply with OMH/CDMHC policies, CARF and federal/state regulations; attend mandatory trainings.
