Job summary

Living Redemption Community Development Corporation is seeking two Part-Time ARCHES Credible Messengers for its Transformative Mentoring Intervention in Harlem. Roles involve group and one-on-one mentoring using Interactive Journaling to guide probation-involved youth toward constructive futures.

Requirements include a minimum one-year commitment, reliability, teamwork, and dedication to the local community. Compensation is $16.50 per hour with evening hours and location at 302 W.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills, facilitation skills, and the ability to connect with people with diverse and intersecting identities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to organize and maintain detailed program records, complete necessary reports and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Meet with participants and implement the Interactive Journaling curriculum at sites.
• Engage young adults outside of the formal curriculum time and through one-on-one meetings.
• Attend scheduled Mentor and IJ trainings.
• Educate and support youth and young adults on issues of public safety.
• Additional relevant tasks, as required and as necessary.
• This position reports to the Project Coordinator or Project Coordinator Designee as directed.
