Job summary

Arlington Properties is seeking a Courtesy Officer at Anthem Apartments in Huntsville, AL to help maintain a welcoming and secure living environment. The role is part-time and involves patrolling the property, responding to issues, and assisting residents with non-emergency needs.

You will work with the property team to ensure safety and a calm, friendly atmosphere for residents, while adhering to company policies and coordinating with local law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• Active or retired law enforcement officer OR military background.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain calm and professionalism in all situations.
• Detail-oriented with excellent observational skills.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and follow company policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence throughout the property by walking the grounds daily.
• Respond to noise complaints and de‑escalate situations professionally.
• Assist residents with lockouts and other non-emergency needs.
• Monitor common areas like pools, laundry rooms, and fitness facilities.
• Check lighting and report maintenance needs to the management team.
• Observe and report vandalism, suspicious activity, or vehicle violations.
• Support overall community safety through routine patrols.
• Contact local law enforcement when appropriate, in accordance with policy.
