Job summary

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified psychiatrist to work part-time on site at the Lorain Correctional Institution. You will join a multidisciplinary treatment team providing psychiatric care to male inmates with clinical support from leadership.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified in psychiatry.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Ohio.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary treatment teams and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment within a correctional health team.
• Collaborate with a psychiatric-mental health NP and leadership.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing.
• Manage medications.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
• Provide on-call responsibilities as part of normal duties.
