Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer to support a commercial real estate location in New York. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, assist tenants and visitors, and deliver excellent customer service while following site-specific procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Criminal histories will be considered consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain access logs in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
