Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a Corporate Perimeter Protection role in New York. You will patrol a commercial property, deter security incidents, assist tenants and visitors, and deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

The position offers flexible day and shift times, with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour. You will monitor access points, verify credentials, complete detailed incident reports, and coordinate with property

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain access logs in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
