Job summary

Lone Star College-Kingwood is seeking a Part-time Coordinator I, Division 5 to oversee day-to-day operations within the assigned area, including scheduling, workflows, supplies, and staff support. This role supports efficient operations and data accuracy.

Under general supervision, responsibilities include budget coordination, program materials for college and community job fairs, and coordination of meetings and trainings. Kingwood, TX based position with standard office conditions.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Enters, tracks, and maintains data in documents, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Submit marketing requests and general maintenance for the division
  • Ensure compliance with local/state/federal processes and documentation
  • Coordinate and prepare program information for college/job fairs
  • Monitor and manage office supplies and equipment; submit requisitions
  • Coordinate department calendars, meetings, seminars, events, and site prep
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Under general supervision, the PT Coordinator I, Division 5 provides oversight and facilitation of day-to-day operations within assigned area of specialty, participating in planning, development, evaluation and improvement. Assists with ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Responsible for coordination of support functions such as scheduling, communications, workflows, supplies, information processing, and staff support. May be responsible for coordinating budget planning process and for tracking and coordinating budget expenditures. Makes and communicates process decisions based on best practices.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Enters, tracks, and maintains a variety of data, including documents, spreadsheets, and databases
  2. Submit marketing requests, work requests, and take care of general maintenance requests for the division
  3. May be responsible for ensuring and maintaining compliance with local/state/federal compliance of processes and documentation within assigned area
  4. Coordinate and prepare program information and materials for college and community job fairs
  5. Monitors and controls resources such as office supplies and equipment needed within the department. Submits requisitions and follows up with reconciliation documentation
  6. Coordinates various department and management calendars and schedules. Assists with planning, schedules and coordinates various meetings/seminars/events, including site selection and preparation, marketing and training materials, and general support
  7. Takes part in special projects as needed
  8. Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $17.94
