Job summary

Lone Star College is seeking a PT Coordinator I to support the Communications, Outreach, and Engagement (CORE) division. You will coordinate daily operations, handle records, and assist with financials for CORE. Strong attention to detail and frontend office skills are essential.

You will interact with internal and external customers, manage purchasing and budgets, support events, and assist leaders with administrative tasks while maintaining a professional, campus-wide presence.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree and at least 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily operations of the CORE division and maintain records.
  • Assist Business Manager with CORE Division Financials.
  • Serve as point of contact for internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate and track department purchasing, requisitions, and contracts.
  • Help enter and track division budgets.
  • Provide event support and logistics for multiple events.
  • Support campus and community outreach with promotional activities.
  • Assist Executive Director, Business Manager and leaders with admin tasks.
  • Monitor resources such as office supplies and equipment.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The PT Coordinator I facilitates daily operations within theCommunications, Outreach, and Engagement (CORE) division.Coordinates logistics, services, and support of the division.Responsible for compliance with policies, procedures, and a varietyof local, state, and federal regulations. Makes and communicatesprocess decisions based on best practices.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Facilitate daily operations of the Communications, Outreach,and Engagement (CORE) division. Maintain records. Assist theBusiness Manager with maintaining all CORE Division Financials
  2. Maintains a current knowledge base of assigned areas and actsas a point of contact for internal and external customers
  3. Responsible for coordinating and tracking departmentpurchasing, requisitions, and contracts
  4. Assists with entering and tracking division budgets
  5. Provides event support and logistics, assisting with multipleevents at one time
  6. Provides general promotional support such as assisting withcampus and community outreach, posting posters/flyers, etc
  7. Provides overall administrative support for the ExecutiveDirector, Business Manager, and all CORE department leaders
  8. Monitors and controls resources such as office supplies andequipment needed within the division
  9. Takes part in special projects as necessary
  10. Responsible for other reasonable related duties asassigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably todo the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending;carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; ordriving an automobile. No special physical demands are required toperform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS
  • Equipment used includes PC workstation running on a LAN in aMicrosoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other generaloffice equipment. Any specialized equipment typical to photographyand videography
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed tocarry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimalexposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's Degree and at least 1 year of experience, or anequivalent combination of education and experience
Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $17.94 per hour.
