Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a part-time Cook in Irvine, CA to prepare and present high-quality hot and cold dishes. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency while adhering to Sodexo culinary standards.

Responsibilities include following recipes, estimating production needs, and supporting kitchen teamwork to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Flexible shifts are available to fit various schedules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of related work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook and present hot and cold items for all meal periods and events per Sodexo standards.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other items.
• Estimate food requirements, check production and maintain records to plan production and requisition supplies.
