Job summary

Village Park Post Acute in Eugene, Oregon is seeking a Part-Time Cook to prepare meals for residents and staff. The Cook will follow menu plans, use proper food safety techniques, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen.

You will work flexible shifts, assist with dietary needs, and collaborate with the Culinary Manager to ensure meals are served hot and on time. Experience in large quantity cooking and ServSafe certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe Food Safety Certification required.
• Six months’ experience in large quantity food preparation; therapeutic diet prep preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food for regular and therapeutic diets according to planned menu and for staff/events.
• Ensures meals are served at proper temperatures and attractive; maintains safety standards.
• Maintains clean, organized work area and uses proper inventory/stock controls.
• Assists with cook and dietary aid shifts as needed and supports Culinary Manager.
