Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dependable Dietary Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a part-time role. You will work with the dietary team to ensure meals meet dietary guidelines and individual needs, while maintaining safety and quality in a busy healthcare kitchen.

Responsibilities include portion control, adapting menus for therapeutic diets, and collaborating with nursing and dietary staff to provide a positive dining experience for residents.

Formación

• Prior cooking experience in healthcare or similar settings preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic and modified diets is a plus.
• Current Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain it upon hire.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals meet residents' nutritional needs and prescribed diets.
• Modify meals for special diets including diabetic and low-sodium options.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Keep kitchen clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Assist with inventory and communicate supply needs to leadership.
• Support meal service with proper portions and presentation.
• Collaborate with dietary staff, nurses, and care team.
