Qualifications

• Must be able to prepare meals that meet resident needs and therapeutic diets.
• Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and portion controls accurately.
• Strong reliability and punctuality in a PRN, as-needed role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high quality meals for residents, staff, and events.
• Follow planned menus, recipes, and therapeutic diet requirements.
• Prepare alternatives to meet dietary needs and preferences.
• Ensure food is prepared, portioned, and served safely with proper handling.
• Maintain temperatures throughout preparation and service.
• Label, date, and store food per safety guidelines.
• Help deliver meals and snacks on schedule.
• Monitor temperatures of food, fridge, and freezer.
• Keep a clean, organized kitchen during shifts.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report issues promptly.
• Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies.
• Minimize waste by following portion guidelines.
