Job summary

Keizer Court Post Acute of Cascadia Healthcare is seeking a part-time Cook/Kitchen Assistant to prepare meals for residents and staff while following strict food safety guidelines. You will work on a flexible schedule with DAY and EVE shifts, onsite in Keizer, OR, and contribute to a compassionate, team-driven kitchen environment.

You'll handle regular and therapeutic diet preparations, maintain logs, and help ensure high-quality meals served at the right temperatures.

Qualifications

• Six months’ experience in large quantity food preparation.
• Experience with therapeutic diets is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to a planned menu.
• Ensure meals are delivered on time and meet safety standards.
• Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen areas and proper food handling.
• Monitor temperatures and portion control for food safety.
• Label, date, and store food properly; manage inventory with care.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and verifying invoices for supplies.
