Job summary

Powdersville Post Acute is seeking an experienced Cook to join our dietary team in Easley, SC. The Cook will prepare nutritious meals that meet residents' dietary needs while keeping the kitchen clean and compliant with safety standards.

In the absence of the Dietary Supervisor, assist with daily kitchen operations. The role offers a flexible part-time schedule, with $16–$18/hour pay, and opportunities for PRN work within our network.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year of cooking experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and dietary restrictions.
• ServSafe Certification required or willingness to obtain/certify.
• Experience with PCC preferred.
• Must remain in good standing with health/regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus/recipes.
• Ensure meals meet resident dietary restrictions and portions.
• Prepare pureed and modified diets as required.
• Record and monitor food temperatures for safety.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and work areas.
• Assist with meal service and tray preparation as needed.
• Operate and clean cooking equipment and stations.
• Follow all food safety regulations.
