Job summary

Summit Place of Kings Mountain is seeking two Part Time Cooks to join their team. The Cook reports directly to the Food and Beverage Director and works part-time with every other weekend required.

The Cook is responsible for all food preparation to meet quality, quantity and service standards for the community, while maintaining sanitary procedures and complying with regulations. Experience in a kitchen and SERV Safe certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED required.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• One (1) year job related experience including food preparation and therapeutic diets.
• Maintains a current SERV Safe certificate or able to participate in training to become SERV Safe Certified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals following approved recipes and menus.
• Maintain sanitation of work areas and comply with safety regulations.
• Record temperatures and inventory as required.
• Follow production sheets and ensure timely food service.
• Assist with dietary modifications and special requests.
