Job summary

Summit Place of Kings Mountain is seeking two part-time cooks to join our dining team. The Cook reports to the Food and Beverage Director and will handle food preparation, sanitation, and record-keeping to ensure quality meals for residents.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, following approved recipes, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety standards across shifts. Prior experience and SERV Safe certification are preferred or obtainable on the job.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• 1 year of related experience including food preparation and therapeutic diets.
• Current SERV Safe certificate or willing to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Maintain sanitary conditions of food service areas and equipment.
• Record temperatures, portions and production data as required.
• Monitor quality, temperature, and presentation of meals to meet standards.
