Job summary

The Phoenix @ Union Hill is seeking a part-time Cook to join their team. The Cook reports to the Food and Beverage Director and is responsible for all phases of food preparation, ensuring quality, quantity and service standards for residents.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED required
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred
• One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets
• Maintains a current SERV Safe certificate (food services sanitation certificate) or able to participate in the food services sanitation training to become SERV Safe Certified

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals following Phoenix standardized recipes
• Maintain sanitary food service areas and accurate record keeping
• Adhere to production sheets and instructions and post menus
• Handle all special dietary needs and texture modified foods as directed
• Ensure food safety temperatures and quality standards at all times
• Operate dish machines and ensure proper washing and sanitizing of all ware
• Record temperatures and manage inventory and regulatory compliance
