Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is hiring a Part-Time Cook for our Fairlawn campus, serving residents in an assisted living setting. Duties include daily food preparation from scratch, following state regulations, and supporting inventory control to ensure meals are prepared with care.

Qualifications

High School education or equivalent with strong English and math background.
One year of nursing home/hospital type setting cooking experience preferred.
ServSafe certification required or to be obtained when hired.
Must have reliable transportation.
Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
Able to perform basic math calculations (weights, temperatures, fractions, measurements).
Able to measure solids and liquids according to recipe specifications.

Responsibilities

Cook food from scratch and prepare meals in accordance with state regulations.
Handle all aspects of food prep, cooking, baking, slicing, roasting, etc.; maintain inventory control.
