Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in New Hampshire is seeking a part-time Cook to join our kitchen team and deliver delicious, healthy meals to residents. You will prepare foods in line with federal, state, and local standards under Benchmark policies, guided by the Food Services Director.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary Arts training preferred.
• 2 years of dietary experience.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to food service operations.
• Ability to lead and supervise staff.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Primarily a standing position.

Responsibilities

• Assures all dietary procedures are followed.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively (meat slicer, food processor, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwasher).
• Assists in establishing food production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
• Represents the community with a positive attitude and pride when interacting with potential residents and families.
• Prepares and serves nutritious meals with high-quality presentation and flavorful meals for residents.
