Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a cook to support basic and advanced food preparation for hospital cafeteria and patient meals. Under the direction of the Chef, you will assist with menu items, display trays, and event catering.

The role requires three to five years cooking/culinary arts experience and a high school diploma or equivalent; rotating shifts and on-site duties apply, with approximately 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Three years as a cook or five years in preparation and Culinary Arts experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills which may be obtained thru on the job training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef and Senior Cook in the preparation of all food.
• Prepare meats, fish, soups, sauces, and vegetables.
• Serve foods to hospital staff and guests at events and functions.
• Plan display and garnish for cafeteria steam table and trays.
• Maintain sanitation of all food prep surfaces on a clean-as-you-go basis.
