CSEngineering in Milwaukee, WI, seeks a part-time Construction Mechanical Engineer to support a VA healthcare construction project. You will provide mechanical systems oversight, focusing on HVAC, controls, and cooling systems, with site visits and submittal reviews.

Responsibilities include assisting the COR with submittals and RFIs, conducting inspections, coordinating with the AE/GC/commissioning agent, and contributing to QA, schedule, cost, and change management, while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with HVAC and digital controls specialization.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in both design and construction.
• Experience in healthcare and IT projects/facilities is critical.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Strong communication and computer literacy skills.
• Must be a United States Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provide part-time mechanical engineering expertise for HVAC and mechanical system oversight for the construction project.
• The Mechanical Engineer (CM-M) will support the project through mechanical systems oversight, including HVAC, controls, and cooling systems.
• Assist the COR with mechanical submittal and RFI reviews, perform onsite inspections, contribute to pre-construction evaluations, monitor construction for compliance with mechanical specifications, lead mechanical QA activities, and assist in schedule, cost, and change management analysis.
• Support commissioning activities, identify deficiencies, document findings, and provide technical recommendations to ensure mechanical systems meet project requirements and healthcare facility standards.
