Job summary

CSEngineering is seeking a Construction Mechanical Engineer (CM-M) to support a VA construction project with a part-time schedule. The role focuses on mechanical systems oversight, HVAC, controls, and cooling, delivering site visits, reviews, and QA/QC support in coordination with COR, AE, GC, and commissioning agents.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with HVAC specialization, at least six years in design and construction, healthcare/IT project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with HVAC specialization.
• Minimum six years of experience in both design and construction.
• Experience in healthcare and IT projects/facilities is critical.
• Must be a United States Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provides part-time mechanical engineering expertise for HVAC and mechanical system oversight for the construction project. Performs site visits, inspections, mechanical submittal and RFI reviews, QA/QC support, and coordination with the COR, AE, GC, and commissioning agent.
• The Mechanical Engineer (CM-M) will support the project through mechanical systems oversight, including HVAC, controls, and cooling systems.
• Duties include assisting the COR with mechanical submittal and RFI reviews, performing scheduled onsite inspections, contributing to pre-construction evaluations, monitoring construction for compliance with mechanical specifications, leading mechanical QA activities, and assisting in schedule, cost, and change management analysis.
• The CM-M will support commissioning activities, identify deficiencies, documents findings, and provides technical recommendations to ensure mechanical systems meet project requirements and healthcare facility standards.
