Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Part-time as-needed Construction Inspector in Tampa, Florida. The role supports the Construction Management Team with field inspection, QA/QC, and documentation on municipal projects. The position offers flexibility as hours vary by workload and needs of the area.

Applicants should have extensive experience in mechanical, civil, or utility construction inspection and be comfortable reporting to the Resident Engineer or Project Manager. Some local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 10 years of mechanical/civil/utility construction inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect construction work performed by contractors, review drawings and specifications, and prepare detailed daily activity and progress reports/photos.
• Attend and participate in construction meetings, safety meetings/updates and project site coordination meetings.
• Monitor and document contractor resource utilization (labor, materials, and equipment) for field changes, and time and material work; assist with basic field construction changes.
• Review submittals and other construction documents and recommend technical solutions.
• Verify equipment and materials installation for payment purposes; maintain Payment Quantity documentation.
