Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Part-Time as-needed Construction Inspector to join our Construction Management Team in Hanover, Maryland, Washington DC or Fairfax, Virginia. The role offers flexible hours with varying workloads and opportunities to work with a nationally recognized municipal consulting firm.

The Inspector will perform construction inspection, QA/QC, and report documentation across water, wastewater, electrical, or civil projects, reporting to the Resident Engineer or Project Manager.

Qualifications

• 5 years of mechanical/civil/utility construction inspection experience.
• 15+ years of civil/utility construction inspection experience (preferred).
• NASSCO ITCP / PACP, ACI or NICET certifications, OSHA 10 and Confined Space Training (preferred).
• Active participation in a regional or national professional association (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect construction work performed by contractors.
• Perform punch list inspections and review drawings/specifications.
• Prepare detailed daily activity and progress reports/photos.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate site activities.
• Monitor resource utilization and assist with field changes.
• Verify equipment and materials installation for payment purposes.
• Maintain payment quantity documentation.
• Ensure Arcadis safety guidelines are followed.
• Occasional local travel to project sites and meetings.
