Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Part-time as-needed Construction Inspector to join our Construction Management Team in Hanover, MD, DC, or Fairfax VA. The role offers flexible hours with variable workload and requires day-to-day inspection, reporting, and coordination on municipal water, wastewater, SCADA, and civil projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction inspection, strong math and MS Office skills, and the ability to work year-round in varying weather.

Qualifications

5 years of mechanical/civil/utility construction inspection experience.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Observe and inspect construction work and perform punch list inspections.
Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and determine deviations; propose technical solutions.
Prepare daily activity logs, progress reports, and photos; participate in project schedule and contractor invoice reviews.
Attend and participate in construction meetings, safety updates, and site coordination.
Monitor and document contractor resource utilization and assist with field changes.
Verify equipment and materials installation for payment purposes.
Maintain safety compliance per Arcadis guidelines; travel to project sites as needed.
