Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Part-time as-needed Construction Inspector to join our Construction Management Team in Hanover, MD, DC, or Fairfax, VA. The role offers flexible hours with workload variations, supporting municipal water and wastewater projects and reporting to the Resident Engineer/Project Manager.

The Inspector will perform field testing, QA/QC, review drawings and specs, and maintain thorough daily reports while traveling locally as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years of mechanical/civil/utility construction inspection experience.
• Ability to work year-round in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect construction work performed by contractors and prepare detailed daily activity and progress reports.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documents; inform contractor of required corrections.
• Attend and participate in construction meetings and site coordination meetings.
• Monitor resource utilization and assist with field changes; verify equipment and materials installation for payment.
• Maintain payment quantity documentation and perform calculations during inspections.
• Ensure Arcadis safety guidelines are followed on daily inspections.
