The role includes greeting clients, checking in patients, and coordinating appointments while handling payments and EMR updates. Prior veterinary front-desk experience is required and compassion is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and vaccination protocols.
• Strong scheduling, multi-line phone handling, and payment processing skills.
• Ability to handle emotionally sensitive situations with empathy.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update medical records, and confirm appointment details using practice management software.
• Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system, respond to inquiries re: scheduling, refills, vaccination records, and hospital information.
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-ups.
• Communicate medical information, diagnoses, and care instructions with empathy.
• Maintain accurate EMR and ensure timely data entry in PIMS.
