Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual, with a clean driving record and compatible with the organization's Faith Statement.

Requirements include a regular driver’s license (CDL with passenger endorsement for larger vehicles), participation in a local church, and agreement with the academy’s beliefs.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Regular driver’s license; license copy may be kept on file.
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 require extra documentation.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in last five years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Annual Physician's Statement for drivers with medical conditions; drug/alcohol testing per policy.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules and assist students as needed.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if approved by Director.
