City of Durham, NC seeks a Part-Time Strategic Programs & Engagement Analyst to support Participatory Budgeting (PB) outreach, resident participation, and committee coordination. 30 hours/week with benefits, primarily in-person in Durham, with some evenings and weekends for community events.

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, public policy, communications, community development, planning, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to support broad participation in the Participatory Budgeting (PB) process.
• Build relationships with residents, schools, neighborhood groups, and community organizations.
• Conduct neighborhood outreach, canvassing, tabling, presentations, and local events.
• Facilitate conversations to help residents understand PB, share priorities, and participate in voting.
• Represent PB at community events and coordinate with the PB Steering Committee.
