Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a part-time Community Association Manager for the West Loop area of Chicago to lead the Board and manage community operations, ensuring compliance and effective communication with residents and staff.

You will oversee budgeting, staff supervision, and vendor partnerships while reporting on financial health and safeguarding residents' interests. A current Illinois CAM license and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Community Association Manager license in the state of Illinois.
• Understanding of physical building management, Condominium law, financial planning, and law affecting property management.
• Works effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.
• Possess budgetary knowledge and control for the purpose(s) of executing programs within the community as well as related activities that may be cost-shared for the benefit of the community.
• Must possess a high energy attitude and an ability to multi-task/prioritize different projects at any given time.
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• Community management experience or equivalent professional experience in a related field strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Board goals and action plans and monitor progress.
• Provide leadership and guidance to address homeowners needs.
• Create and implement the annual budget with monthly financial reporting.
• Ensure protection of client funds, property, and assets.
• Lead Board meetings with agendas and written/oral reports, and summarize priorities.
• Maintain service excellence with residents, vendors, staff, and colleagues.
• Assess community needs and collaborate with vendors for improvements.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all community staff per management plan.
• Coordinate with local emergency services for evacuation plans as appropriate.
• Perform building inspections of interiors and exteriors.
• Ensure compliance with Illinois Condo Act and FirstService Residential policies.
